Welcome to The Duke’s Starters Orders 4 webpage.

The idea about this webpage was to create an independent look at the game created by Mark Loveday and to give out handy hints and tips to fellow players of the game who play it with the league play in mind.

Before I go any further with this, I feel it is vital to provide some of the most vital links you will need to learn more about both the game, and league play and so the collection below are links to the sites you need to know about.

Starters Orders League Manual – All you need to know about the Online League is contained in this link. It houses vital information about how to get entered, how to export horses from your game to race in the league and a lot more. Seriously, check it out!

ORL World Forums – This is the place that houses the league forums. Run on a piece of software called YUKU, you can find out all the latest information regarding each of the three racing associations housed in the Starters Orders League (UK, US, NHC). This also is the place where you can pick up your copy of Racing Ahead written by Steve Speight for all three racing associations and is always a top quality read.

Starters Orders Forum – The ‘official’ forum of the company which created the excellent game. On here you will find various discussions regarding the series, be it from a general game play point, development of future editions and plenty more to get your teeth into. This is more for the casual player of the game as opposed to the league forums but is quite active and informative.

TOM – The piece of software which runs the league, the ‘Trainers Office Manager’ was an idea which has been put into life by a combination of ‘Dodgy’ Dave Archibald, and Dave Fuller. This has enabled the whole league experience to greatly benefit from the ease of entering races, finding out historical data about the horses and helping with the efficient running of the league.
