Outsider Of The Day - Tuesday (Day 1)

Now we all love a poke at a nicely priced runner at 'The Festival' and seeing it run better (or hoping) than the odds suggest it ought to.

So what do we fancy to run well at a long price?

It must be priced at 16-1 and above.

I'm going to go with Ainama but I don't think it's as high as 16/1, still an outsider as such, around 14s I think, don't half fancy it to run a cracker and pick them off up the hill.

For me, one I think could run well at a price is DANSIMAR in the last. I was taken by the performance 2 runs ago when she got her head in front, and ran really well in defeat last time out. Looks to go better in softish conditions so with the rain tonight I can see this one going well. Currently at 25 on Betfair.

Issaquah @ 50/1 in the David Nicholson.

She won races at Kelso and Haydock in incredibly impressive fashion for Malcolm Jefferson, before disappointing on her next two outings. The first of those was again at Haydock, where the three who finished in front of her were rated 143, 162 and 160, and recent handicap winner European Dream was some seven lengths behind. Her run behind Serabad at Ascot can be ignored.

At the weights they all have it to do to beat Quevega, but this mare is better than her rating of 127.

Cornas (Arkle) 33/1
I'll probably get laughed at for this as it's tailing off out the back, but he's shown a likeable attitude and was finishing with real menace at Sandown last time. Cheltenham will be better suited to his style, and the ground holds no fears. Is worth a small each-way at such large odds.

In the Champion Hurdle I know I've put a couple up but WON IN THE DARK 3rd in the triumph last year 4 lentghs behind Celestial Halo so he goes around Cheltenham.Very lightly raced has improved in leaps and bounds IMO more than Celestial Halo.Last time out he finised second to Sublimity but had the likes of Brave Inca and Muirhead well behind him.On that day he was staying on all the time and given a hill at the finish may well have won it No reason why he wouldn't have improved a lot since then a bit older and a bit stronger where as a few of the others in that race would be on the downward slide.Only negative I can see for him is the fact he is a 5 year old but a few of those are quite well fancied in this.
Available @60 on betfair and @11 for the place bet.No-one else seems to have given him a mention so I thought i'd fly his flag.I for one would love to see his connections (the little guys) get one over on the likes of Jp,Henderson and the Nicholls of this world.
Whatever happens I'm sure his backers will get a run for their money at a huge price.

Quite gutted about that. Was absolutely swinging until making that mistake shortly before turning for home, appeared to have knocked the stuffing out of him.

Plugged on well in the end and wasn't beaten overly far.

Guess I had a run for my money at 33-1.

Some good efforts so far lads.

Pass Me By for me in the X-Country.

Doesn't deserve to be 25s on CD from behind Dix Villez and Garde Champetre. Few sites around paying 1/4 odds 1-2-3-4 and at 25s Pass Me By is getting some e/w money from me

Ran an excellent race and was bang there turning on. You had a good run for your money at 50s, hard lines.
