Forum Software Upgrade

Evening guys,

I have some planned upgrading to do later this evening, meaning the board will be down for around an hour or two.

We're currently running an out of date version of the vBulletin software which I've recently found a few security flaws in - so nipping this in the bud, I've forked out for the latest piece of software to ensure your browsing on here remains safe, and things should be a little quicker loading than they currently are.

I should be starting the upgrade from around 11pm this evening, sorry for the short notice.

I've had to postpone this for now, waiting on my hosts to create a full backup should anything go wrong during the upgrade.

I had hoped to do this myself but because the database is so big, it needs to be done by the hosts and then sent onto me.

So I wont be updating the board this evening, so it's looking more like tomorrow now.

Well that took ALOT longer than I thought but forum is now back up and running.

I'm too tired now to go through the new perks of the board and the features it has but overall it should be alot more powerful userface for all.

Will update more tomorrow at some point.

Still doing some work on this. It appears to center fine in Firefox and Google Chrome, but is situated on the left in IE, is this the case for other people or is it just my random laptop playing up on me?

Been looking at a fix for this for the last few hours and I'm non the wiser on how to fix it, so I've called upon the assistance of the tech wizard Retro to try and cast his eye.

Will make a post tomorrow about the new features we have on this new upgraded board but other than that is should still be pretty much the same.

Is everything in proportion on your monitor Palmer?

Everything centered with a grey background? I'm using Firefox and it works like a charm.

Plus I've just added a nifty little integration with Facebook tool I am currently trialling to widen the fanbase!
