SCUFFLE WELL HANDICAPPED
I had heard from a good friend of mine that the Roger Charlton camp had one other filly held in higher regard than at the time Oaks candidate Clowance, who ran a respectable race in the Fillies Classic. Her name was SCUFFLE, and I unloaded my barrow full of cash onto her at Nottingham during the week.

After looking like winning quite easily, she appeared to run around a little on ground probably faster than ideal, but she knuckled down well when challenged to hold on. I think this daughter of Daylami will improve for the step-up to ten furlongs in her next run, and in any handicap she’s going to prove very hard to stop.

Considering this is just her third life-time run, she’s clocked an impressive speed-figure and is worth stepping up to Listed level at the very least before the year is out, as she’s only going to improve. She’s clocked 93.37 on firmish ground at Nottingham, and will be better suited to Good.

Lindelaan knuckled down well in first-time headgear and looks a shoe-in in handicap company next time if kept to a similar level.
