| The Iron Horse | Yeah I always tend to split the samples at Lingfield. You seem to always get a totally different set of figures for the straight and round course - similar to Ascot. I've ranked Sabana Perdida in at around 94.78 which is about what I'd expect really. She isn't top class in the filly's sphere, and with Kylayne in the race running around 5L better than she did at Newmarket, I'd suspect this is a true reflection of the winners rating. |

| World Class Join Date: Sep 2005 | I gave her 95.88 but then I've tweaked the methods which ha shad the effect of speeding the better horses up, but perhaps more importantly gives me a slightly more accurate going description. Either way, it's abotu right. Would have been an easy trap to fall into though. You'll find Goodwood is another where you often need to split too. It's a bit annoying as the recuced sample can compromise accuracy, but having said that, it's still preferable, and more accurate than it otherwise would be if you tried going at the whole card as one |
