| Royal And Regal - A very good stayer At Newbury the other day, it came to light that we have another top class stayer to out to our staying ranks, which came in the shape of ROYAL AND REGAL.
Owned Peter Savill has been speaking to the press for the reasons why he brought Royal And Regal over to England was because of the farcical early dawdle they're accustomed to go in France. "I brought him to England because I am convinced he needs a good strong gallop, and too many times in France they crawl, then sprint." Royal And Regal looks the type to improve again, and will have no problems with the softer ground he encountered at Newbury. His next logical target looks to be the Yorkshire Cup, where it'll take a good one to stop him. Zaham looks another in need of a strong gallop, and the way he powered home suggests he too would improve for the step up in the Yorkshire Cup, I'd imagine he could well run a massive race in any Group 2 event over 12F and 14F.
Templestern went to work and cut out the gallop for the remainder, and if he were to get an easy lead in his next race, and able to slow things up a little, he could well be very dangerous - he's improved nicely over the winter. |
