He has a difficult fight against Diego Sanchez. I won't be betting in this one but John will be looking to strike early and has been working on avoiding being taken down to the ground. Elsewhere its a really good card. Bisping looks fair value at 8/13 with BetFred and I'll be doubling him up with Rashad Evans (9/10) to beat Rampage in the main event. There two guys hate each other and I think if Rashad can survive the first round without being ko'd his cardio will be too good for Rampage. Should be a great night. Hope I can stay awake! |

| The Iron Horse | Good stuff Titus, don't mind abit of UFC action. Didn't even realise it was on think the last one of these I watched Bisping got layed out by Dan Robinson in the first round. What you make of Paul 'Semtex' Daly being banned from competeing in the UFC? |

He may have got away with it but he then tried to tell Dana White that he didn't hear the bell. What an idiot! He will go to Strikeforce now, but will be banned for 3 or 4 months first. |

Other than that though, I don't think many UFC guys are on gear. I doesn't suit the fights they take part in to be too heavily muscled and then fight for 3 or 5 five minute rounds. With the current rumours surrounding many boxers, especially Freddie Roach's mob, I'd be surprised if UFC was much differerent to boxing in that respect. With regard to is it straight? Hell yeah! There is no way you can fake that kind of stuff. Search online for Diego Sanchez v Clay Guida if you want to see what I mean. Its a million miles away from wrestling if thats what you are getting at. I believe it will be much bigger than boxing over the next few years. Its currently the fastest growing sport in the world. I have a few mates who are boxers and didn't watch UFC until a year or so ago but I'd choose UFC over boxing any day of the week now I know a lot more about it. I attend a lot of minor fight nights where some of my mates fight and they are great nights out. You can bet on UFC with almost all the bookies, incliding Betfair. |

I think the the Premier league football is Just about the straightest game in the world although sometimes I worry about the referees and this is one of the main reasons I think the game has took off globally over the last decade or so is the fact people can have a bet on it knowing its a fair bet with a fair book.If Ufc offers the same betting oppourtunities it will only speed up the growth of your sport ![]() The Juice, would be an open and shut case from what I've seen of it (which isn't a lot ) the good lady used to watch a bit of it and the guys were hucking huge definately unatural IMO.Just couldn't get into it myself but I dare say as the betting markets grow,I might give it another go ![]() Boxing, it saddens me to say has been going down the shitter for a very long time, it used to be my number 1 sport (horse racing has took over now and probably football would be second) . Sadly its all about hype and polotics these days and the mugs who buy into it.Very, very rarely I see a world title fight thats of interest to me you can still see some decent matches at domestic level probably because the moneys not there so much. The way boxing is going you may be right that in time sports like yours will overtake it especially with the ever growing violent and blood thirsty culture we live in tend to find more satisfaction out of it.As long as the boxing heirachy cotinue to feed us chumps against lumps and corrupt decisions it is guarenteed that what I once believed to be the greatset game on earth will continue to decline. Any thoughts ? |

There are very few huge guys in UFC, mainly because it isn't useful to carry too much muscle. The bigger guys tend to gas out after a round or so which isn't good when you haven't got an 8 cound to help you if you go down! Mayweather v Pacqiou (sp) is one of the main reasons I think UFC will overtake boxing. If these guys were in UFC they would either fight each other or have their contract torn up. Unbeaten records pretty much don't exist! A friend of mine is a boxer and he was 10-0. As soon as he lost his first fight his career was virtually finished. |
