| Administrator | Ross Kemp in Afghanistan I found myself wide awake last night and bored, and found myself stumbling upon this programme last night whilst 'channel surfing'. There was 5 different programs on, one after the other and around an hour in length each programme. I found myself watching all of them, one after the other and found it fascinating. I do like war programme and stuff like this, and fair play to Ross Kemp for going out there and trying to show the world what our troops are going through on a day to day basis. The way the media and our country portray our troops is disgusting, and the government and people on the whole should show more appreciation to those men that go out there and fight for our country. Each and everyone of those guys out there in Afghanistan, and in any other future war are heroes. I know it's something I don't have the bottle to do. Hats off. ![]() |

Too be fair I try not to read too much in depth about the politics regarding War but its a job and in this day of financial meltdown an extra income!! |

| World Class Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Shottingham | Just keep this up to date. On friday I am off to Pirbright for a 2 week course. Loads of live firing, battle casualty drills, admin, camping out and PT. Is training by the regs so I am absolutely bricking it. I am sure they will 'take away the boy and bring back the man' so to speak!! |

On a different note, pulled into Newport Pagnall services in full army kit for a piss break and received a round of applause from the English Defence League. Got congratulated on doing a grand job!! They were on the way back from a protest in London. |
