OHR Greyhound Racing Game

Lo all,

If there's any interest I've got my hands on a bit of greyhounds simulation software. Could run something akin to the Horse Racing game we had, though not in nearly as much detail.

Depending on numbers of interest, say twice weekly I could sim a couple of greyhound races, if any of you want to 'create' a couple of your own greyhounds.

Info I would need is:

Name
Preferred Condition: Fast, Wet, Normal or Slow?
Sex: Dog or Bitch
Running Style: Early Pace, Middle Pace, Fast Finisher or All Round?
Track Craft: Rails, Rails-Mid, Mid, Mid-Wide or Wide?

Also, each raceday you can specify the racing weight (22kg-36kg) of your mutt for that day, you can play around see what suits best.

We can keep a tally of how our dogs do (10pts for 1st - 6 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 for 6 dog races) or (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for 8 dog races), to determine the OHR Champion Dog Trainer.

If there's any interest

(as an example of what to do, I will 'create' 2 greyhounds and post them in the next post )

Simple as that then all that is needed is to give their racing weight each race day

Sounds a cracking idea Norton.

Would you like a sub-forum to house this project?

See how the interest goes - doesn't look needed just yet

See how it does for real doggy action, just input the form ans stats for this 10.20 at Hall green, and it says 2-5-4 very close between those 3, with 1-3-6 trailing

Done cfc and ctc on 2-5-4 come on

It's not that in depth tbh

It's a simulation tool - you input the stats (best time, avg time, best sectional, avg sectional, track craft, age, running style, etc etc) and it sims how the race 'will' pan out

4-2-1, fc divi of 11.37, which means whopping £2.37 profit on my £1 cfc and 50p ctc

That's 10 hounds so far, anything from 2-6 more would be perfect.

Going to run some solo trials tonight, dogs racing at 32kg, bitches racing at 27kg.

Future trials you can specify the weight they're at (28-36kgs for dogs, 22-31kgs for bitches).

I'll run 3 solo trials for each hound before the races start at the weekend. 1 tonight, then Weds and Thurs.

Got most of the 2nd batch of trials done, will do the remaining few after a good night's kip and send them all in the morning.

There is a new top banana though... Macattack, trained by Kidonbing, has ran a 29.42 time
