| GA's most wanted Join Date: Feb 2009 | Getting down to Dad rock! Anyone else guilty of this pleasure ? As I work through the night accompanied by my DAB I've come across a station called Real XS that has surpassed any other rock station with its supreme song selections.Always been a bit of a rock and roll kid although I dabble in a bit of anything really but this stations got me right back into it.I can often be found dancing (quite well as it goes) the night away or singing along (quite terrible as it goes) whilst working a long or indeed when I'm sciving and checking OHR out on me phone For those younger who haven't quite felt the magic I'm going to suggest a couple of classics for ya to look up on tinterweb to get ya started.Rainbow- I surrender Robert Palmer - Bad case of loving you AC-DC-Whole lotta rosie (you can actually take your pick as most of theres are classics) Bon Jovi-Blaze of glory Slade-look wot you dun Iron maiden-Hallowed be thy name/Fear of the dark (live) can't decide. Black Sabbath- You can take your pick again but one of Ozzy's solo efforts -I DON'T WANNA STOP proper Dad rock classic. Led zepplin-Black dog Queen-Fat Bottom girls Thin lizzy- take your pick although Jailbreak, dancing in the moonlight are personal favourites but Stone cold sweat is a dad rock song about gambling .If your not a convert after some of those beauts then there really is no hope for you amongst the human race ![]() |

| World Class | I generally listen to newer music these days mate but still like a few classics every now & again. Most of the bands you have mentioned all have some good tunes that aren't so wellknown. The ones I'd never get bored of listening to are these ones though: Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne Don't Believe a Word - Thin Lizzy Back In Black - AC/DC The Immigrant Song - Led Zep 747 (Strangers in the night) or Wheels of Steel - Saxon Great White Buffalo/Cat Scratch Fever - Ted Nugent Shooting Star - Bad Company Feck, theres loads!!! Theres loads from the 90's too (the 90's seemed to pass me by & I was too loved up) but I am reliving it all now. The Pixies,The Rollins Band,RATM,etc, etc. In the meantime heres a different version of Thin Lizzy's Don't Believe a Word with, IMO, the best line up they had with Gary Moore & Scott Gorham on guitars.
