Friday Selections

I managed to get an opposite forecast yesterday with Waltz Darling & Swift Alhaarth (my only two bets) so you might want to avoid the following:

Ishbelle @ 16/1
What About You @ 14/1
Gamilati @ 18/1
I'm A Dreamer @ 11/1
Arabian Spirit @ 12/1
Awsaal @ 14/1
Alphabet EW

Nice to see you posting again Alan good luck with those

Have a good sized e/w bet on Capaill Liath 25/1 and a decent sized win bet on Ashva 7/1.To tired for full reasoning as I think I've totaled 9hrs sleep this week Both eyecatchers from the same race at Ascot both from bad draws you might have to use a little imagination

2:25 Newmarket - Gamilati - e/w @ 20/1bog Bet365

The Godolphin runner looks a big price for the Cherry Hinton when you look at the form of the first of her close 2nds at Newmarket.

3/4L back in 3rd was Samitar, who came out next time and won the Albany at Royal Ascot - with Inetrobil and Ilainglass filling the places, both of who run in this race today.

My Propeller was 5.5L back in 7th, yet is 2nd favourite today on the back of her Pontefract maiden romp.

Damask was 8L back in 8th, and she has since ran about a length closer to Russeliana, who is 8/1 today. Gamilati also looks to have the edge on Russeliana on a line through Pearl Diva and Dine Out.

Miss Work Of Art's form doesn't look to be good enough, with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th behind her at York all running much further behind the likes os Samitar and Best Terms at Royal Ascot - meaning she looks to be some way off Shumoos, Caledonia Lady, Inetrobil, Ilaunglass.

Bascially my dangers are the placed horses from Royal Ascot's Queen Mary - Shumoos and Caledonia Lady. Shumoos' debut defeat of Frederick Engels looks better and better, whilst I don't think Caledonia Lady should be 4x the price of the favourite on their running in the QM.

At the prices though, 20/1 for the Godolphin filly looks too big to decline.

Mystic Pete says...

1. Gamilati
2. Caledonia Lady
3. Shumoos
4. Russeliana

1:20 Newm - Ishbelle 16/1 - improved with racing last year culminating in an unlucky-in-running keeping on 7th in a 6f Listed race, not at all far behind some good types like Rimth and Margot Did. Mark of 93 looks pretty lenient on that

1:50 Newm - New Planet 22/1 - Listed winner and Group 2 placed as a 2yr old last season. Kicked off this season with a fair 6th off top weight at York, has been dropped a lb in the weights and can build on his reappearance effort here.

3:00 Newm - Lily Of The Valley 7/1 - Happy to give her another chance at these odds to prove her reappearance 6th is all wrong. One of the most impressive fillys of last season to my untrained eye with her ability to quicken up very smartly at the business end of races.

How is it possible to have a bad day whilst asleep After doing my goolies yesterday I decided to take it steady today backing my 2 eyecatchers that I knew were running but not looking at the other races I have in front of me a notebook with Ladies are forever and Coeus in as will be winning soon. I have a horrible feeling if I'd read a write up like that from pete I'd have at least chucked that in a multiple of some sort if not followed him in for a few quid. I'm going to puke ! In the words of the master unreal scenes A tantrum of immense proportions has been thrown in broadsword manor
